Celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month

In America today, we are fortunate to be able to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in business and honor female entrepreneurs for their perseverance and success across a multitude of fields and industries. By joining others to raise awareness for the significant contributions of businesswomen in the world, I hope to inspire more women, and the people that support them, to realize their dream of being a woman business owner.

As a women entrepreneur, small business owner and life-long learner, I would like to share a few insights from my health and wellness journey:

1. Learn early that no one gets to any achievement in life, alone.
Somewhere, somehow and in some measure by someone else, I have been motivated, inspired, supported or challenged to move beyond my present circumstances and transform what could be into what is, my reality.

2. Gratitude is the gift that keeps giving.
The more I see and acknowledge gratitude in every opportunity, every door that closes, every obstacle that challenges me to do better, I am blessed. The more I am willing to face what is in my path, becomes a gift of learning for me.

3. My well-being comes from within, where my self-love lives.
For me, and many women I know, developing and maintaining self-love is a daily exercise. While taking care of others is more 'normal' than taking care of myself, I have learned that self-love translates to self-care. With self-care, I have my well-being and the ability to contribute to a greater good.

After nearly three decades as a communications and marketing professional, I established Kaminaka Health in 2023 with a vision for true Health.Care. From my birth and roots in Japan, the influence of my naturopath grandmother and my Zen Buddhist mother, I have been on a journey of learning to balance my existence with a contribution to greater human understanding. Our physical bodies are not simply 'containers' but rather we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. Therefore, we must nurture all four aspects of self: physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual in order to maintain wellbeing.

When I met my partner, Dr. Ralph E Holsworth, we knew we could blend our east and west backgrounds to provide natural health solutions and true second opinions for people seeking a proactive, better way to take care of their health. At Kaminaka we offer innovative services, preventative, holistic treatments to help individuals achieve and maintain optimum health.

And to show our support: If you are a small business owner, we are offering you a free introductory doctor consultation at our clinic through Dec. 31, 2024.
